A crew, not a truck
About 25 people across mowing, grounds, and snow. When a storm hits at 4am, several routes run at once instead of one operator working down a list until noon.
Berkshire County · Serving the Berkshires
Grounds, snow, and repairs handled on contract for businesses, plazas, and property managers across Pittsfield and Berkshire County. One crew, one number to call, all twelve months.
King & Sons is a Pittsfield contractor with a crew of about 25, which is the part that matters to a property manager. It means routes get covered when the weather turns, not one truck working through a list. Through property-management contracts our crews already handle grounds and winter service at Berkshire County locations for national brands, and the same crews mow single storefronts and plow small plazas. Tell us what you are responsible for and we will put a written number in front of you.
About 25 people across mowing, grounds, and snow. When a storm hits at 4am, several routes run at once instead of one operator working down a list until noon.
Through property-management contracts our crews handle Berkshire County locations for national brands including Amazon, Walgreens, Lowe's, USPS, and National Grid. The standards those accounts expect are the standards the crew works to.
Trigger depths, response expectations, salting and sidewalk scope, and per-event or seasonal pricing agreed before the season starts. Nothing about your bill in February should be a surprise.
The crew that mows your islands in July plows your entrances in January, and the carpentry side handles the repairs in between. One contract, one invoice, one number when something goes wrong.
What’s included
Who it’s for
Property managers with a Berkshire portfolio, plaza and storefront owners, medical and professional offices that have to be clear before an early open, municipal and institutional grounds, and any business owner tired of chasing three contractors for one property. The rule is job size rather than distance: substantial contracts and multi-day work travel further east, while short recurring route work stays close to Pittsfield.

Pittsfield & Berkshire County
We are based in Pittsfield and run commercial routes across Berkshire County, including Dalton, Lanesborough, Lenox, Lee, Cheshire, Adams, and Richmond. For contracts of real size we travel further east as well, out toward the Springfield area. If your properties are spread across the county, that spread is normal for us rather than a complication.
Questions
Yes. Commercial snow is one of the core contracts we run, covering lots, entrances, walkways, and multi-property portfolios on either seasonal or per-storm terms. Through property-management contracts our crews already handle winter service at area locations for USPS and National Grid. Full detail is on the commercial snow removal page.
That is the setup that works best. A portfolio on one contract means one scope, one schedule, and one invoice instead of a different contractor at every address. Tell us how many locations you are responsible for and where they sit, and we will price the group.
Both, and which one is right depends on how your business handles risk. Seasonal is a fixed number for the winter regardless of how much it snows, so budgeting is simple. Per-storm bills each event, which costs less in a light winter and more in a heavy one. We will lay out both numbers so you can pick.
It is written into the contract before the season starts rather than decided in the middle of a storm. Two inches is common for a retail lot, but a medical office that opens at seven needs something tighter than a warehouse that opens at nine. We set it around how your property actually operates.
Yes, and most of our commercial clients use us for both. Mowing, mulch beds, edging, plantings, and cleanups through the season, then plowing and salting through the winter. Same company, same crews, so nobody is learning your property in December.
Call us at (413) 344-6210 and we will get you the current documentation your property or portfolio requires before anything is signed. We are also background checked on Thumbtack.
It starts with a walk of the property. Lance looks at the lot, the entrances, the sidewalks, and where snow can realistically be stacked, asks how your business runs during a storm, and then puts a written bid together within a few days. There is no cost and no obligation.
Yes. The same company frames, sides, builds decks and porches, installs hardwood floors, and handles interior demolition and commercial buildouts. For a property manager it means the contractor who mows the islands can also fix the storefront.
