Dalton is close enough to our Pittsfield yard that it's part of our regular weekly runs, not a special trip. That matters more than it sounds: crews that have to drive far tend to show up late, skip weeks, or price the drive into the job.
The housing here runs from the tight village streets near the mill to the newer places spread out along the hillsides — two pretty different kinds of yard. The village lots are compact, with mature trees close to the house and not much room to maneuver a big mower. The hillside properties are bigger, often sloped, and need a crew that won't scalp a grade.
What we handle in Dalton
Weekly and biweekly mowing through the season, landscaping and mulch beds, fall and spring cleanups with the leaves hauled off, and snow plowing through the winter. On the building side we do decks and porches, hardwood floors, framing and remodels — the same crew, whichever side of the work you need.
Berkshire hillsides and heavy leaf fall
Sloped lots take a different mowing approach than flat ones, and Dalton has plenty of both. The mature trees that make these streets worth living on also mean a serious volume of leaves come October — enough that a lot of properties do better with two cleanup passes than one big one at the end.
