When should I schedule a fall cleanup in the Berkshires?
Most Pittsfield yards are ready for cleanup from mid-October into November, once the bulk of the leaves are down. Some tree-heavy properties book two passes: one mid-season, one after the last drop. Either way, it's worth calling before the rush; we work cleanups in route order.
Do you haul the leaves away?
Yes. We bring our own hauling trailers to every cleanup and load everything we clear (leaves, sticks, light brush) so it leaves your property with us instead of sitting in a pile at the curb.
Can I put leaves out at the curb in Pittsfield?
Not for pickup. Pittsfield's curbside carts are for trash and recycling, and anything left outside a cart isn't collected. The city directs yard waste to the Casella Transfer Station at 500 Hubbard Ave: for Pittsfield residents with proof of residency, no bags, and access fees apply. Burning leaves is illegal in Massachusetts.
Is this a one-time visit or part of a plan?
Either. We do plenty of standalone fall and spring cleanups, but a lot of customers bundle them with a mowing route in the summer and the plow list in the winter, so one company handles the yard all year.
